Show Transcipt

This is the John Hallett podcast with John Hallett. Because the way we’re living, we need to change it. Make it change today. And all learn from failure. Maybe they just wanted it a little bit more than you. That’s probably the fact. And now your host, John Hallett.

Hey, everybody. Welcome back to the show. Thanks for joining me today. We’re talking a little bit about Fauci and Covid shutdowns. Not too long, but, man, does that guy aggravate me. There’s something about that guy. He just seems like an evil character out of some sort of movie whenever.

Maybe a flashback to some old videos that I got, um, put onto digital from VHS or whatever. Some flash flashbacks of God 20 years ago, martial, um, arts, and early krav maga. We’ll see how that goes. And who knows what other random things might come up when we stop bringing Josh into the show.

I’m not that random, you know? I says, I’m always random. She’s like, stuff just comes out of your mouth, and I don’t know where you’re at. Shut up, Josh. I hear that so much from people. Well, you asked me what’s an idea? And I’ll throw, like, seven or eight at, uh, you.

Yeah. You’re like, AI. I’m like, shut up. I’m still working on one. I’m like. I’m like, I can’t even think about the first idea. You just gave me 22 more ideas. They’re all blending together. I can only imagine living with you. Good lord. Your wife, she’s given a race.

Talking about something. Last night, it was like, chevron difference from the supreme court. And we’re at their dinner, and finally she goes, Josh, just shut up. She goes, babe, shut up. I’ve had a nap. And I was like, but you wanted to hear it. She’s like, no, uh, that’s enough.

What are you talking about? Chevron difference. Chevron? What is that? The supreme court, uh, essentially, the, uh, federal government was always siding with federal agencies in the courtroom when it came to stuff like the FDA, uh, the Bureau of land Management, um, stuff like that. They would always side with the, uh, institution because they were, quote unquote, the experts.

Problem is, a lot of those institutions would put non experts in those roles. So they’re making decisions for people in Colorado for, like, bureau of Land Management, farm management, stuff like that. And a bunch of people in Washington would make the choice. They would sue, but the courts would still side with the, uh, agency because they had the experts, and that’s called Chevron differences.

I understand. I could be wrong, but it was just recently struck down, which means that the ATF could disappear. That would be a good thing. That’s what I’m saying. Right. Because their expert. Much of this stuff is just so much waste. We have so much waste in the government.

But she told me to shut up. She was like, I’ve had enough of that. Let’s. Let’s move on. Then I started moving on to something else with UFO’s, and she said, not. Not tonight. Not tonight. So I get it. Like, sometimes I can be a little much, because I’ll just go, yeah.

And, you know, it is the, uh. The government is just so into everything, and then people that look at the government to take care of them, you’re like, what has happened, right, to the american spirit, where you’re just gonna hope that they take care of you. Yeah. Um, listen to everything that they say.

Well, Hope’s not a plan. Hope’s not a plan. Right? It blows me away to think of how so many. I can’t even understand how they think. I don’t know how people, like, go through life like that. I don’t get it. I don’t. And government considers themselves the experts, you know?

And the law, for the longest time, was siding with them. So it’s like.

Yeah, why is the government going to side against the government? Exactly. Right? Talk about an echo chamber. And they would make crazy policies. Like all of the, uh, ATF and gun stuff. Rules are made by people who have never even worked in the gun industry. They’re just a bunch of lawyers, right?

Usually with like, uh, an axe to grind half the time. So I would love to actually see the ATF disappear. I mean, the only thing I really don’t want people to have are like, really powerful explosive devices. That one kind of scares me. But at the founding of our country, you could own a cannon, right?

I mean, all of the weapons that we used for the american revolution were supplied by the people that live here. Like everything else. Where does it stop? Where does it stop? We got to keep doing this. We don’t want anybody to have a, you know, a rocket launcher, but.

Pretty cool. Mhm. So, yeah, I. I don’t know. It’s like the IR’s like things are just taxed. Taxed to no end. It’s ridiculous. When I opened my small business, I was surprised at how much the rate, since I was a sole proprietor, how much I was gonna get taxed at the end of the year.

I about pooped myself. I was like, what? Oh, yeah, people. Oh, my God.

Yeah.

The cost of doing business. That’s why everything’s giant now. I mean, you got very few and I’m small things. Yeah, it’s ridiculous. It makes you, I mean, the way things go up. I mean, we’re, uh, trying to find a new carrier for our gym insurance. Like, it’s ridiculous. Everybody know, like, your house insurance.

Like, nobody wants to insure. Different states and California, um, they have the same problem as we do with the wildfires. And people don’t want to be insured. You know, is it a government policy? You’re like, good lord, who wants a government policy? I forget. Uh, my wife was telling me somebody what they’re, you know, they were in, um, rural Colorado, I think, and what their, their policy was going to be, um, is just ridiculous.

At some point, people like, I’m not even going to insure. Right? Because it’s gonna cost me so much. It blows my mind, man. And what happens is they try to make laws, require you have insurance in some cases. But what happens if the insurance carriers decide they don’t want to do business here?

Yeah.

Like, who’s now, who’s now covered news. Yeah. Crazy government policy. That’s, like, pretty crappy and pretty expensive. Ah, yeah. And then you got to do what they say because it’s their policy, right. Yeah. It becomes really kind of destructive, and it’s. It’s just so hard to do business anymore.

And I don’t know if that’s the plan or not because, you know, businesses have been really attacked over the past couple of years. Do you remember back when they were like, you got to close your gym. Because of the six foot rule, right? And Covid hits on top of it, and it’s like, oh, my God.

Yeah.

I mean, we’re still, like, people don’t realize the, uh, you know, attrition rates in gyms that are membership based of, like, facing those Covid shutdowns. You still have this lingering. We didn’t sign. Anybody up over Covid and how the cycle of the. Of a gym business typically will go.

I mean, you didn’t have any new clients there. Um, and everybody was told to stay home because of these rules they came up with.

Right.

And they had to stay the certain distance apart. And it’s. I mean, it destroyed everything except for, like, Walmart, Walgreens. Like, they were all just big, giant businesses. Right? Big, giant online businesses. And people were just staying home and board shopping. But you can still get your liquor and weed, though.

Yeah. Which was the kind of crazy parts important. But, I mean, people would have revolted over liquor and weed, but they’re not gonna. Revolution started to. Yeah. That’s why they did it. Right. I mean, it’s ridiculous. Like, you’re gonna let’s revolt over that. Yeah. And not all the other things.

Not shutting down churches, small business schools. Like, it’s just ridiculous. I’m still pissed off about that whole thing. Like, I’m really holding the grudge. Yeah. I, um, think the damage that’s been done to this country, just financially, never mind the toll it took on kids that had to go through this.

Um. Yeah, I hold the entire government responsible for this. And, you know, whatever, uh, you know, I think Fauci was behind a whole lot of it. Well, remember, um, when he said he was the science, right? He said that, I am the science. Like, it’s like the emperor from Star wars saying, yeah, right.

It’s. Yeah, he’s crazy. Let’s pull it. Um, this is, um. When was this from Doctor Foucher? This was just here in, um. June. It was just in June. Yeah. So it was last month. Last month, yeah. Okay, let’s see what he has to say.

Okay. You stated that earlier. What was your relationship with the CDC when you saw a regulation which was not based in the current science? Well, when I say was not based in science, I meant a prospective, uh, clinical trial to determine whether six foot was better than three, was better than ten.

But once we realized that the virus was not spared by droplets and was aerosolized, did you feel an indication to go back to the CDC and said, let’s base this on science. Let’s get rid of this six foot rule. This six foot rule crippled businesses. It allowed students to stay at home and not learn.

Americans suffered, and that suffering continues because the fracture of trust in american scientists continues to this day. Did you not feel an obligation for something that just sort of appeared not to go back to the CDC and say, let’s base this on what we know. Okay, you stated that earlier.

What was your relationship with the CDC when you saw a regulation which was not based in the current science? Well, when I say was not based in science, I meant a prospective clinical trial to determine whether six foot was better than three was better.

But there is the answer there, right? He’s talking about a rule they made up on the spot. Which they told us was like the rule. Yeah. Remember that? Yeah. 6ft. I mean, it was ridiculous. Yeah. No, no, I’m just double checking. But, yeah, I mean, we. We, uh, had to, like, we sectioned off the gym and tried to.

I mean, a lot of it was just because. Yeah, we’re like. But, um. It was ridiculous. It makes you what they, you know, you start taping. I like, whatever. And, uh, the people that were coming our gym were pretty much. Yeah, this is crazy. Well, the thing, we’re gonna section it off.

And we even had people entering from the front and the back for two different classes and divided it off. And one bathroom was for the back and one was for the Krav maga room and one was for the fitness room. Really? You guys did all that during COVID huh?

Um. All based on this science, right? Yeah. Having a separate check in in the back. Like that whole check in in the back and actually the fridge that’s in the back was all started over Covid. Wow. So people could get drinks and not have to go up and, quote, go over occupancy of the front room and the.

The whole six foot, you know, you quote, try to play within the rules even though you think they’re stupid. Um, just to be open at that point. Sure. All right. We’ll kind of jump through these hoops ish. But, you know, it’s just crazy. I mean, we had people calling in on us that we were in the park and people were within 6ft and they never retracted.

This type of thing is ridiculous. Well, his statement was, is that this is like a clinical trial, but once we review. Right. And then you. You recommend. They never reviewed a recommend. They stuck with the rule until restaurants closed. Gyms closed. Right. You know how many restaurants went under Covid?

I mean, you had to have a, uh, delivery service set up in that. You were the only one that survived that you have these little bubbles you would go and eat in. I mean, they didn’t want you grabbing gym equipment because they thought you might be spreading it. They didn’t know if it was aerosolized by droplets or is it.

Was it spread by touch and stuff like that? And it just blows my mind. Entire industries of small business evaporated by a rule that was made up on the spot but never changed. Yeah. It’s not just frustrating. Like, it’s on the verge of being purposefully destructive. And that’s the way I’ve seen it.

Because they lied so hard about it. So why? Well, it’s the whole government that they can never go back and say I was wrong. Right. That too. It’s fluoride in the water. Yeah. They can never go back and say we were wrong. I m mean, give me a case.

When they said they were wrong about something big. I don’t know. I don’t know. Like something they had a hand in. Uh, the. Iraq.

Did they ever say they were wrong?

There’s people out there saying that they were wrong, but nobody’s ever really made an official government statement of going, we got into this war and we kinda messed up.

Like, government never loses.

Right? They’ve never said, I mean, there’s people out there going, this, we’ve uncovered these things and all of this stuff. I mean, there’s a great. Sean Ryan talks about how he’s changed. And, um, I think it might have been with, uh, Tucker Carlson, possibly that episode. I’m not sure.

But there’s never been an official statement that said we’re wrong.

No, it always comes from historians who look back on it and say, we were wrong here. But the government never loses face. It never has to say it’s sorry.

Yeah, it’s ridiculous.

And that really pisses me off, because if you never say you’re sorry, you always think you’re right. It’s like the, it’s one of the things like a narcissist does, right? Or a psychopath is they’re never wrong and there’s no, there’s no remorse for it.

Yeah.

So government is really at, uh, like a sociopath narcissist that exists and it runs our daily lives.

Yeah, well, it doesn’t run my daily life.

Um, I don’t, I mean, who is it? Who is it at that point now where they’re like, you know, screw you, I’ve had enough of this. I talk about it in other places. I’m just like, you know, when it. When are you gonna have enough? And when we do have enough, what are we gonna do about it?

Yeah, I mean, we have a hard.

Enough time trying to get people just to exercise. You really think they’re gonna be able to throw government? No, that’s the scary part. Right.

So, yeah, I mean, you would really like it to be a peaceful thing.

Absolutely.

That, uh, it’s ridiculous because who the heck wants to go to war? I wants to fight. Yeah, I mean, the hell with that.

But, you know, Joe Biden, uh, like.

These, they’re not listening. The government, like, needs to be revamped. And they don’t because, like you said, power. There’s just like, a psychopathic narcissist is what you just call them. Yeah, it’s ridiculous. And, and I don’t know what to do about it. Knows people. Like, what do we do?

Versus go, hey, screw you guys. Like, we’re not doing it.

Uh-huh.

It’s like the endless taxes. Well, guess what? We’re not even paying taxes. Well, they’re gonna throw you in jail. They’re gonna throw everybody in jail. But I really don’t want to. You, like, nobody wants to be the first one to go to jail. Yeah. Yeah. Cuz, you know, I mean, it’s always about like, hey, okay, so we’re gonna knock on your door if I stop paying taxes and they’re gonna come and get me.

Garnish.

My.

My wife would, like, would freak out. Just I’d be at first afraid of my wife. Yeah, yeah, she’s afraid of the government. Like, oh, my God, we’re late on our tax payment. I’m like, whatever. Like, we filed an extension. Yeah. Ah, let the accountant figure it out. Um, he can pay for the late fee or whatever, but, you know, she’d be super nervous.

But you might go like, hey, I’m not gonna. This is ridiculous. The amount of taxes that we pay. And the amount of waste and the amount of. We’re just. Actually, I was joking around. I was at the sidetrack of. We were talking to an Uber driver who happened to be immigrant, I believe, from Poland.

He, uh, was driving the uber just to socialize. And I figured normal people, because he was a deputy, um, up in Suffolk county. And I’m like, yeah, you gotta deal with, you know, generally they’re not the night when you. When law enforcement deals with you, it’s usually not a good day.

Yeah. You pull them over just for a speeding ticket, and people are pissed off at, yeah. Um, but we had said, so he was talking about his brother had to go back, and he had gotten a visa. He had been a citizen for I forget how long now. Um, but we’re like, geez, you could have just gone over the border, you know, and gotten money.

Like, oh, geez. And now you’re given immigrants money and all this stuff. And it’s ridiculous. Like, I don’t want to give the money, so stop taking it out of my tax dollars. Like, I don’t. Do not agree with it. Like, what is that percentage? I don’t care if it’s $10.

I’m not. I don’t want to give the $10, whatever it is.

Yeah.

I am not funding this. If every american said, we’re not paying that $10. Yeah. What are they going to do? Imagine if they all said, we’re not paying taxes. Yeah, we’re not paying taxes. Except for, let’s just throw out an easy number, 50%. We’re gonna give the rest of the 50% to infrastructure, military, basic nation stuff.

Right.

That you kind of need. But I think the biggest thing is, is that everybody’s afraid they’re gonna lose something. Right? I don’t want to lose my freedom. I don’t want to lose my money. I don’t want to lose my wife. I don’t want to lose my house. But when you look at it, haven’t you already lost it all because they own my money.

They own my house.

It’s ridiculous. Yeah, I mean, you’re going, what. What is it? Like, hey,

whoever’s gonna knock on your door. Yeah, I’m not going to jail. What are you gonna. Yeah, guys, uh, here’s my yard sign that says, I’m not going to jail and I’m not putting down my gun. And that’s what will happen eventually. Now with those guys. Now, if I see that and I’m going, geez, I’m an american, and I believe in you.

I’m not gonna go knock on your door and try to send you to jail.

No.

But then you get those guys that are. They kind of want the power. They kind of want to send you to jail, and they kinda. I mean, it’s a slippery slope.

Yeah.

Then you have problems. People don’t wanna. I mean, I have high hopes, but, man, I’d like it to be peaceful and hope the government will fix itself. But their track records, not so great. No. Well, let’s look at something a little bit better. We got. We got me all fired up, and.

I was gonna go, what are you gonna say, Josh? I can’t remember. Now you think about it, Josh. I know. Just let. If you haven’t seen a picture of John when he was. This is 20 years ago. I mean, this is 20 years ago. You have, like, full head of hair.

Look how young. What are you saying now, Josh? I’m just saying, you keep it short. You keep it short. I keep it short? You keep it short. Look at you, man. You were getting all fired up there. What is this on Vassara? Yes, it’s 2014. Josh?

Well, you know, there was this thing called digital somewhere.

Probably still.

This thing probably came from, like, 1980 something. See, that’s what you get from the eighties.

Yeah, the cameras. Probably from 2000. No, probably from 2001, because that’s when Will was born. My son.

You know, yours. Those are good strikes, aren’t they? I mean, when you look at it now and you see this stuff, do you cringe at some of your old stuff, or do you just.

I mean, you could probably tear yourself apart.

How many students did you have rocking here when you’re in this little.

Oh, and, uh. Well, we had a bunch of kids. We had a bunch of kids. I don’t know, some of the. I don’t know if it comes up. I don’t know if it’s on this one or another one. I only got this. This one up onto YouTube. Just kind of side project of.

Yeah.

Um, throwing it into kapwing. And there’s a lot of, uh, still.

Make us through a lot of knees now.

Stuff in there. And I’m not too disappointed in. In any of this stuff from 20 years ago. And again, you get better and better and. Yeah, I get. Justin told me he commented, I haven’t like Justin. I don’t look at the comments. Um, what he said about it. Uh, let’s.

Oh, here. Like, here’s a little. Sarah spar a little bit here.

Sarah, uh, and her husband were my first two that I sent to instructor training way back when.

I missed that wall. We were talking about it before. That’s all padded. We got some old wrestling mats from a gym on Cape Cod that my buddy Jack had a connection, who was, um, the first real assistant. I spoke wrong. Jack and I went together, and then Sarah and Adam, we sent as our.

The next two. Um.

Looks like you made yourself a ring out of the tombstone pads.

Yeah, I was just trying to stay in frame. M right. Like, don’t go over there. Don’t go running out the door.

So you were even thinking about that stuff back in the day? Stay in frame. Stay in frame.

Yeah. What do I even need? I didn’t even need you back in 2004. I don’t know. I’m looking a lot here.

I think you still do.

Yeah, here. I mean, here’s a class. This is Adam and Sarah. Looks like they were running this class, and I turned down the volume.

That’s okay, man.

But, yeah, our commentary is better. Like, oh, yeah, I remember that lady. I have no idea who this kid is. I mean, it doesn’t even have a uniform, right? He’s wearing Adam and Sarah running the class and whatever they were doing. Let’s get, like, get some action.

Come on. Who’s filming?

I think it’s just on a tripod.

Yeah, it’s pretty even. They didn’t have, uh, that shake control back in the day. Now they’re on every camera. I don’t know. It’s a cool looking gym. Man, those rafters are cool.

Yeah, I built this from the ground up. Wow.

Uh, you can see where we’re. The heavy bags that are over in.

The corner here, hang them up.

I think there were six. I think there’s room for six.

Wow.

In there.

I know there’s some little kids in here. It, uh, looks like he’s demoing something on that thumbnail there.

Yeah.

He’s grabbing my little kids.

Wow.

I find this Corinne, she was with me forever. She’s got. I mean, who I don’t even know how old she’s got to be, and that’s not. I know he was in there. One of our old members. Yeah. Did stuff for us, helped me with membership stuff. Logan O’Connor. I know.

I saw the O’Connor boys in here. Uh, this girl, Corinne, was with me forever. She used to, like, color coordinate her belts or whatever. She was really good. I mean, she’s got. I mean, this 20 years ago, so what is she, like, ten there? Yeah. So.

And you’ve had a lot of. Even a lot of students here. You start with them really young, and they become adults, and, you know, to be able to go back and look at some of this stuff is really.

There’s an O’Connor. Boy, this. I don’t even know what they’re doing up here on this heavy bag, but whatever we’re doing.

I like the, uh. God, that kid looked like me for a second there. Kind of scared me. I’m like, do I have a twin somewhere?

I know. People start to, like, seem like this kid. Oh, my God, what was his name? He was with me for so long. Looks like he’s got a lot of Dylan O’Connor.

The kids are fun, man. Like, it’s fun when they have people start to remain.

Remind you of. Where is that. That the kid that you think is you? Yeah, let’s just say. Let’s just snake that up.

I was one of John’s first.

We were like. Like, hey, there’s, uh. There’s Josh. You train with me, then he quit.

People might believe that.

Uh, what do you got here?

This is total taekwondo. I took that. I said 2004, but I might be completely wrong on that day. I love the VH because the other one was 2004. So this might be 2002, maybe.

Mystery science three with Taekwondo.

Now, this is Chris Welch. I just talked to him. He’s like, it’s always nice, you know, you’re always busy, right? We’re all busy. But he actually still keeps in touch with me.

That’s awesome.

Um.

Um, going with martial arts, or is.

I don’t think now. He was doing something somewhere with a bunch buddy, um, in there. I forget if he said he was. I don’t think he was actively doing it, but, like, look at the, like, chest protectors for taekwondo over there in the corner. So this. If we’re in this building, I should change that date.

It’s probably 2002.

Wow.

This is Jules Nantucket martial arts. He, uh, did, uh. He didn’t take it over. Some other guy did, but now he has, uh, taken it over, to my knowledge, from the guy that. Had purchased it from me.

Yeah.

And he’s still actively doing running, uh, Nantucket martial arts. I know they’re doing like, a co op and got different people, different styles in one facility because it is so expensive there. Yeah. And that. He’s got, um, a master Miller t shirt on there. So this is. This is old even.

Like, was. I don’t even know if I was doing my own t shirts here. For those of you who are listening to the podcast, it’s. It’s, you know, in John’s old school, uh, back on Nantucket island, he’s got his students out there performing. What are those called? Those are weird.

They’re. They’re doing patterns. Okay. In there. And this is me. God, that’s. Oh, my gosh, there’s John in there. And how many hours I have. Oh, what was that? I don’t know, Josh. I was. Hey, listen, it was a long time ago. You’re in there. I didn’t even know what.

The move? Yeah, like that. I don’t even know what that does. I mean, I couldn’t. What’s that simulating? I don’t know. Is that like, kids stuff? I mean, like 20 years ago? Yeah, I mean, it’s like knifehand chop, low block, a, uh, chop to the throat. A low block, a chop to the throat.

Can you still do some of these? Do you remember these? Could you go through? I imitate it. Yeah, I could do little points, flow of it. I can do the original.

Yeah.

The one you had to know for. Your yellow and maybe orange belt. Every once in a while, I’ll see. If I can still do them. Um, and I practiced those so many times in there. That’s pretty crazy. And John’s going through his forms in Taekwondo, and he’s. Yeah, this build, like, this is.

This used to be a workshop. Like, I converted a workshop that I. Built the house out of.

Yeah.

Because I built this house, took the workshop out because, you know, find a place to practice. And we put these mats like, they’re a nice seamless mat. Kind of hard, no cracks. It’s a seamless mat. It’s a really nice setup, man. I mean, in there, that for your first.

It’s pretty cool. We had that, um, going. That was great. Um, in there. It was super fun place to train. And we, uh, had some good times back there. Um, I know we had, ah, some other video in there. Like little will. Wherever we were. Yeah, in there. Some of our, like, the little kids training.

Was that in there? Like this little. It goes so fast. On drive. Yeah, there’s 2 hours of video on there, man, that. It’s really cool that you’ve saved a lot of this. For those of you listening and those. Yeah, this was just legacy box, so that had to be.

Oh, um, that video should retitle it. It’s probably like 2002 because then I built this building or cot. It was a two bedroom cottage. Yeah, I built this, which we saw in the previous video. Yeah, in there,

uh.

Built.

This one will transition over for anybody watching on YouTube or, you know, get onto YouTube if you’re watching an audio and just, uh, scroll through this.

Well, there’s krav maga there.

So is that one too closer? This is.

All right. Good time. Good.

That’s why I think the other one’s off, right?

At each stage.

He set up a line.

Kids are running a little drill. The little guy in the back and. Not now, but yeah, the guy in the little cursor is my son. Will. An unhandled error occurred. Well, come on. One drive. I know you’re not an official show sponsor, but, uh. What did you guys just reload?

You got to reload the window, probably. So legacy box. It worked for you, hun. They did pretty good job.

It took a while. I was like, wow, this legacy box thing takes a while. Oh, yeah. To get through. Um, yeah. And there’s like, uh, there’s dragon’s tail. But, you know, things been around a long time, I tell you, right? I tell kids, like, I’ve been playing this game.

I know they’re doing a little front kick without kicking.

Oh, he misses like, three or four of them. It looks like me out there again.

We could be like, this is Josh, right?

Right.

Like, that kid’s Josh. Look at the kid. Just

Josh. It’s cool to see this stuff, man.

I mean, is it?

Yeah.

Or whatever, you know, camcorder cartridge, whatever you want to call those in there, too. But this doesn’t scroll like YouTube. Like kids doing opal dozer game. Oh, I don’t know this one. We still do this with the kids. Bulldozer, like front kick from the ground.

Yeah, it looks like the. Oh, uh, okay. Yeah, you didn’t act at that one.

Oh, you should see me, like, now. Like I on there. And who know went to fan, like, what was on the videos there. So, um, where is us? Where is this?

So much going on there.

Yeah. So, um, um, yeah, you’re glad you, like, have those memories of, like, little crazy things. But just looking back, I mean, I’ve got some of like, ah, krav maga beach weekend. I think we’re near Gloucester.

You might know it as Gloucester.

Oh, see.

It’S really Gloucester. The king’s English, I guess, with my buddy Jeff Jimmo that I haven’t seen in a bunch of years him teaching. And that’s got to be around the same time frame, really, you know, like 20 years ish ago. 18. Um, I got a bunch of film that I filmed that.

Yeah.

Um, there’s actually. There’s my buddy Ernie Kirk teaching at. At, ah, Krav maga Boston.

Wow.

That I saw. Like, I think we came up and did some kettlebell conditioning for them. Yeah. Ah, and, uh, the same time, like. Ernie was doing whatever Ernie did, I. I just saw the glimpse of it. I didn’t watch the whole thing. And, like, actually, the big thing was, uh, I was trying to get, um, some of my football games.

Like, nobody. Does anybody have it? Yeah. And I was really. I thought it was one of the ones that legacy box, um, said there was nothing on. Yeah. Kind of thing. And I was like, I cannot, nobody seem to have it. And I don’t even know. I mean, I think it’s some of these blue thumbnails here.

Yeah. Like, um, that, you know, we’re scrolling through my one drive, like, here’s Jeff just for. And if you’re listening, as Josh is so good at his radio stuff. Um, that’s more. There’s Ernie here. We can maybe. Maybe we’ll bring it up for anybody looking. I don’t think there’s.

There’s stuff on the beach there. Looks like you guys are doing just some clinch stuff and.

Yeah, so, yeah, there’s Jeff. There’s a little will with us, huh. Um, but this is Krav Maga Boston. I think sometimes. Krav maga, Jeff. It was a Krav maga instructor, but he was, you know, he’s also collegiate wrestler, BJJ, black belt, Thai boxing. There it is. Um, I don’t know if it goes.

Off there in that little far left. If you’re watching, that’s Ernie Kirk from Philly. Um, but some of these have football on them.

It’s probably. Probably have to scrub through.

Yeah, I was gonna highlight, like, I don’t know if my steps will sit through the entire game, but maybe, you. Know, like, all these kids are so darn busy. Um, and he’s into his football season, but, you know, just those little memories. Of, like, little Lucy cooking and a little stove jumping on the bed.

Um, stuff. But, you know, I wanted to get that family stuff off. But, yeah, my big thing is I wanted to get these football games off. There’s the ones we watched, I guess, the other day. Um. Oh, here’s a tournament. Oh, my gosh, there’s, like, a tournament. Uh. Uh.

I wish I could remember her name.

Is that the one with the picture you have downstairs?

No, she was in that video. We just said we scrub through it fast, but we watched it for a second. I said, she reminds me of grace. Yeah. Um, this little guy, is it looks. Like there’s me and Jules over there. Um, you saw him in the last video.

Yeah. He’s getting ready to spar. Trying to. Look like, um, such a train to be like the. Like, there’s a Maggie. They’re over there.

Yeah.

Ah, you got to compete with all those other guys. Very serious.

And then your student goes out there and, like, they represent you.

Right.

So there’s a little bit of the. You want your person to go out there and dominate, right?

Yeah. You trained them, so, yeah, some. Like, taekwondo footage. But that’s why you don’t put me in any competitions. Um, because, you know, I’m gonna put you in one. No, I don’t know where the football ones live to, but I thought they were gone. But they’re on there, so that’s great.

Um, one more.

So I was happy about that. I’ve got to cut those, and I’ll probably just put them on to clear Sky YouTube and then share the link on Facebook or whatever. Get us some. Well, get us some other potential views. I’m like, where did I put them on? Just John Hallett YouTube.

Where do I put it? It’s business. And I was like, you know, it’s. Good to feel it all because you. Can see the roots of every. Like, everyone’s are good. But I was like, wow, where do I put those football ones? I was just putting my clear sky just to get his views because whatever.

We’re gonna be monetized next week. Yeah, they made that so easy now. Thank you. You too. But, yeah, we will not be monetized ever. But, um, you know where I put them? I think it’s just fun. I might put the football ones on John Hallett. What do you miss most about living on the island if you had to pick one thing?

One thing. Just one thing. I always go back to food as being my one thing. I just like the small town. Yeah. That feel of. I just like the small town feel. I mean, sometimes it’s annoying when you’re in it, but Castle Rock just continues to get so darn big, it’s ridiculous.

Like, even I don’t know what they’re gonna do on Wilcox. That building that they’re doing right across from the gym is ginormous. How long is that thing? That’s the new on ramp for, uh. Um, I think it’s gonna be. You’re talking, like. No, we’re talking north end of Wilcox.

That new Ginormo building that they’re doing to replicate the promenade. You’ve seen that building. Please tell me it’s across the street from the gym. It’s on the other side of the highway from the gym. Oh, that ginormous one by the hideaway? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That thing is so long, it just got big.

Where are those cars going? Where are those people going? Yeah, I mean, hey, we don’t. We don’t even have lime scooters. Maybe we should open up a little lime branch of lime scooters. But we had. They’re adding an entire on and off ramp. They. They’re putting in the next exit.

So m. I miss the small town. I mean, the food on Nantucket was great. I was a tourist. Yeah. I was never a big lobster person. I don’t. I mean, it’s good, but I never got into. I’d rather give me a. Give me a tenderloin or tenderloin. Give me something like that.

I never got into, um. I’d be, uh, arthropods. I never got too into lobster. I’d have it once in a great while, dude. I imagine it was swordfish. Swordfish, huh? I like swordfish in a tuna. I miss that, like, fresh. Yeah, yeah. Like, it just flew in. I’m like, yeah, but it just.

Off the boat is different. Yeah. I’ve actually had seafood where you see the boat pulling up in the restaurant and they’re unloading stuff. Yeah, I mean, we used to get phone calls of, like, hey, we’re in and this little fish market, um. I forget the name of it. It kind of opened up like very offbeat.

Not downtown. It was on the way to Bartlett’s farm. Uh oh. It was just on the side of the road, just this little house and. Yeah, that was converted into a fish. Market, um, to my knowledge. To my recollection. But we get like somebody calling and going, hey, they get a big cat.

Get over there and you get it when it was just off the boat. Yeah, essentially. I mean you could still go down to the docks and sometimes get stuff. Right? I mean literally off of. Yeah, but I missed that. I missed a small town. Foods good. You know, always miss like moving the students, you know, like changing and having to leave those students.

Sorry, we got a bunch of annoying stuff on the, uh, desktop. Yeah, that’s a small town feel, you know. Cuz my wife’s from a real small town and going back to her small town. I was born in a really small town too, and kind of grew up a little bit there.

But every time I go back I’m like, there’s a reason why I like small towns. It’s that whole. How many people that. What is that guy’s book? It’s not. Is it younger or hunger? What’s that guy’s name?

Did you talk about that stuff? Yeah. Oh God, what is his name? But there’s a book on it, right? Like how big a society and how many people you can know and what’s a good number for, you know, a tribe. What is that guy’s book? Sebastian. Right. Sebastian. I can’t search like, I mean, I guess I could search on any multiple class you could forms.

But for those of you listening, John’s on his phone trying to figure out who the heck this guy is now. Thanks. I’ll play by play. He uses his left thumb more than his right,

but it feels. Sebastian. Younger

maybe. Tribe. Yeah, it is sebastian. It’s with. I was spelling with a j j u n g e r. Tribe.

I think he talks about it and I don’t think he’s the only one that’s, you know, obviously talked about that. But um, the size of the community and what works and it’s saying back getting, you know, your own food and like our food so messed up. It just. Sometimes it’s just overwhelming.

That’s where I’m like, yeah, let’s just wrap up the podcast. Let’s just go down and train because that’s something I can do, you know, I can work out. I can go and work out and, you know, get a little bit better, you know, and it doesn’t take much. Like we were talking about the other week, it doesn’t take much.

You don’t need to be this elite athlete to extend your life, to be healthy. You know, people have this image that I’m not gonna be the six pack abs. You maybe don’t need it. Yeah, maybe you don’t need it to live longer and be super fit. It’s just doing something.

Yeah. Getting up. Just getting up half the time is half of it. Out of bed. Yeah, well, just getting up off the couch. I mean, how we live in a very sedentary world.

Now?

Yeah. How many people work at home?

Yeah.

You just got to tell yourself, get up. Find a mantra.

Like, um.

Um, I don’t know, I’m gonna die.

Yeah.

If it hurts, something in the chair

doing nothing hurts, then. So why not get up and do something? If you’re gonna hurt, do something while you’re doing the hurt. You know what I mean? This is like, either you can stay. There and it’s really gonna hurt.

Yeah.

Is working out of hard?

Yeah.

I mean, it shouldn’t. I mean, you’re saying hurt. Like, it shouldn’t hurt physically. I think something. I mean, there’s muscle fatigue, and I hate to use the word hurt. It is common, like, oh, man, the workouts gonna bust your butt. It’s gonna be painful, but it’s that under the pain you don’t feel is a scary one.

Yeah.

It’s that death creeping up on you. The poundage doesn’t hurt until you maybe try to stand up and you go, oh, we’ll sit back down.

Yeah.

You know. Um, but it doesn’t take much, guys. You got to get off your butt, and we got to get off our butt in this country, I think to 30 minutes to make some change is huge. Just a 30 minutes workout a couple times a week changes your life.

Be safer. You know, be the citizen defender. You know, we’ve got, um, that program in the gym, and, like, our overall encompassing that is, you know, peaceful warrior. Just be prepared for whatever life may throw at you that you can defend yourself and your family versus thinking you can.

And we see it. You know, we’re doing nice, really skilled guys today and going, you still mess up that scenario even though you have a firearm in citizen defender and how hard it is and how many people just fool themselves.

Yeah.

And I don’t know what to say, but that’s my job. Like, hey, get your butt in here. You’ve got to be doing something. You got to do something on a daily basis, guys. All right. Hey, we’ll be back next week. Thanks for joining us, as always. Those links are in there.

Check out our new brand of, uh, suckless Co. That is our performance supplements. We are tired of supplements that suck. And we’re trying to give my daughter job to work herself through college. So we’ve created this. And if you could support that, that would really help her out. That is how she is going to be trying to get herself through school.

And, uh, we’re out of here. Josh is already on the phone. He’s already gone. He can’t scroll, scroll squirrel something. I was off camera. You need to be focused. I was checking focus. You’re supposed to be the producer. All right, guys, I don’t think I made fun of Josh enough.

Uh, you’re not on camera. Should we bring Josh back? No. All right, guys, thanks for joining me. Check out suckless co.
